TOUR DESCRIPTION:
For this tour we have chosen two wonderful cities with equal nights in each which gives you the opportunity to discover the delights each has to offer. Prague is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe and is divided into four distinct quarters. Prague Castle dominates the city's skyline and is the official residence of the Czech president and is cermoniously guarded by soldiers in red white & blue uniforms. Below the castle is the Mala Stranta quarter that has medieval winding streets and beautifully preserved renaissance and baroque palaces.
Crossing over the famous Charles Bridge you come to the old town with the old town square that was once the city's great meeting place.
The Berlin Wall was the most graphic and public manifestation of the iron curtain that separated western Europe from the east. Now the city's number one visitor attraction, the Wall still exerts an eerie hold over visitors and locals alike. The Brandenburg Gate came to symbolise everything that the Berlin Wall represented. Postdam was the seat of Prussian power and has a wealth of Italian style villas and luxurious palaces. We have included guided tours of each city, and also the entrance to Sanssouci Palace.
The Holiday Inn Berlin is a modern 4-star hotel located in the east of Berlin. There is a tram stop outside the hotel which gives easy access into the town. All rooms have been recently renovated and modern in style and all have air conditioning, sat. TV & hairdryer. The Diplomat Hotel in Prague is situated just outside the historic centre with underground services on the doorstep. This hotel is modern in style and has all the amenities you could need. Guests can relax in the spacious bar or on the terrace. All bedrooms are well equipped with Sat. TV and hairdryer and beautifully decorated in a traditonal style.
Our route to Germany takes us via Hull to Rotterdam through Holland, and into Germany, overnighting onboard the ferry to Rotterdam.
