TOUR DESCRIPTION:
Set in the area of land from which the hotel takes its name, Eight Acres Hotel sits on the western edge of Elgin and offers a peaceful retreat in this lively market town. Following a large scale renovation, the hotel provides a perfect base to explore the Scottish Highlands, and will cater for your every whim. The sprawling grounds are ideal for a leisurely stroll. The cosy restaurant serves locally sourced, freshly prepared food. Each room includes its own individual charm, featuring lovery modern furnishings, private bathroom, coffee and tea making facilities and complimentary toiletries. The leisure club at Eight Acres Hotel in Elgin is one of the largest in this part of the country, offering many different activities and workouts. They have a lovely swimming pool, spa bath and sauna.
We have included some wonderful excursions, including a sail on Loch Ness. A visit to Tomatin Distillery, where we have included a guided tour and a tasting of the famous 12 year Malt and the wonderful heather cream liqueur. We have also included the fabulous Duff House which is a treasure house and cultural arts centre operated by Historic Scotland and National Galleries of Scotland. After an astonishing variety of occupants since it was built, it opened as a country house gallery after extensive restoration in 1995 it now enjoys 5-star visitor attraction status. With extensive grounds and woodland walks, we are sure a day will not be enough.
