TOUR DESCRIPTION:
Lake Como is known as the prettiest lake in Northern Italy. It's breathtaking mountains make a stunning backdrop to the magnificent gardens with their vast array of colour. There are numerous pretty towns to visit around the area, including Bellagio a beautiful town located on the peninsular of the lake. Villa Carlotta is a neoclassical villa on the alke and its landscaped gardens is a must for any visitor.
The Grand Hotel is one of the finest hotels on the lake and is situated on the lake side in Cadenabbia and has commanding views over the lake. There are spacious public areas downstairs, while a rooftop bar and restaurant offers spectacular views across the lake. The bedrooms are all spacious, elegantly furnished, and feature air conditioning, telephone, hairdryer, safe & Sat TV.
Our route to Lake Como takes us via Hull to Rotterdam through Holland, Germany and Switzerland, overnighting on board the ferry to Holland and in Karlsrue, Germany. We have included some wonderful excursions. Lake Lugano, Switzerland, which is an impressive resort. Overlooked by the Mount San Salvatore, Lugano offers plenty of green open spaces and the usual array of shops that will appeal to everyone. Stresa, Lake Maggiore, which is situated on the west of Lake Maggiore. Stresa'a historical centre boasts plenty of cafes, shops, trattorias and the entire lake side area is a delight with its elegant promenade. Together with a stunning location, excellent hotel, wonderful excursions, we are sure you will have an unforgettable holiday.
