Due to the great success last year, we are back to the Riverside Hotel Kendal. The historic market town of Kendal, famous
for its mint cake, nestles in the rolling foothills of the Lake District. Kendal is also a great shopping centre with its mix
of high street names, factory outlets, speciality shops and traditional markets.

As the name suggests, this charming Lakeland hotel enjoys a fabulous riverside location in the centre of Kendal. The shops
and attractions within Kendal are merely a short walk across the bridge. Each of the 47 refurbished bedrooms enjoys a
great riverside view, and all include hairdryer and TV. In addition, take some time out in the hotels indoor leisure club
with its swimming pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. The hotel has a lift to all floors.

We have included some wonderful excursions, our first to include all the popular English Lakeside towns. We will have a
full day to include Windermere, Ambleside, Keswick, & Grasmere, with enough time to have a wander though each town.
No visit to the Lake District would be complete without a sail on one of the beautiful Ullswater Steamers to Pooley
Bridge. This is a wonderful scenic day travelling through Windermere village and over the Kirkstone Pass to Glenridding,
before our sail on Ullswater. Another visit we have included is to the beautiful Holker Hall, home of Lord & Lady
Cavendish. This is a very grand 16th century mansion, and which has award winning gardens. There is of course a large
gift shop, food hall & beautiful café.
This is a wonderful tour for those who love the Lake District, and June is one of the nicest months to see it in all its glory.
